Murder at Wattle Creek – Scout Sleepover & Skills Day
Friday 25 September, 5:00pm – Saturday 26 September, 5:00pm
Telarah Scout Hall
Join us for an overnight Scout sleepover with a difference.
On Friday night, Scouts will step into character for the Wattle Creek Centenary Mystery. Each Scout will play a character connected to the fictional Wattle Creek Scout Camp and will need to investigate a mystery involving hidden motives, suspicious characters and a missing piece of Scout history.
Throughout the evening, Scouts will interview suspects, examine evidence, decipher messages, follow clues and use their problem-solving and Scout skills to work out what really happened. The mystery is entirely fictional and has been designed specifically for our Scout-aged participants.
Scouts will prepare and eat dinner at the hall before the mystery begins. The investigation will run through Friday evening and be concluded before Saturday morning.
After breakfast and packing up on Saturday, we'll spend the day learning and practising skills that will be very useful at the Scouts Alone camp, this will include first aid, fire building, shelter building, preparing and cooking food and other essential skills that can all be used towards OAS badgework progress.
Pickup will be from Telarah Scout Hall at 5:00pm Saturday.
