About

1st Telarah Scout Group runs during school terms out of the scout hall on Russell Street Telarah. We are a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteer leaders and a parent committee. Prospective members can come along and try Scouts for 4 weeks before making the commitment to join. Scouts do accept Active Kids vouchers.

Where can I find information about meetings? You can follow us on Facebook, 1st Telarah Scout Group, our leaders post our term programs before each term starts. Our facebook group has photos and info of what our scouts have been up to at meetings and camps etc. You can also contact one our Group Leaders- Justin Glynn by email justin.glynn@nsw.scouts.com.au

What do I do if I want to try out Telarah Scouts? You can come along to a meeting and join in. Wear comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes. Parents/carers are welcome to stay and watch for the first meeting, or give a leader contact info then drop off and go. A usual meeting includes our opening/closing flag parade, a few games and a targeted activity based on the youth members interests or goals for the term. After your first meeting if you want to come again you fill in an application online.

What do I do once I decide to join Scouts? You can buy your uniform shirt at www.scoutshop.com.au  You don’t need any other uniform items at this time. The group will provide the scarf, woggle and badges once you pay your term fee, and you will be invested.
